grapes of wrath part 6 chap.23-26

Chap. 23 says that when the people aren't looking for work or not working at all, they play music to release stress. Im wondering, what kind of music and what do they use for instruments. It also says that preachers preaches about evil and sin. Why do they preach? Anyway Chap. 24 says that night the farmers are planning to start the riot. Then a bunch of people go to a party while a bunch of men watch out for people who are trying to stop it. Tom and and a bunch of men look out after 3 men who might decide to do something. Then that night, a man tells a story about mountain people how they did this and that. I think that the man was making stuff up. Thats my theory. Chap. 25 says again how big landowners ruin little local farm owners land, and how they monopolize land. Small land owners debts go up, and how the wine goes bad. I wonder why the big land owners like to own a lot of land and that? Chap. 26 says that the Joads supplies are running low. So Ma Joad tells the family that they must leave to find work. Then a guy comes up and tells them that there is work for them picking peaches 35 miles away. When they get to the place, there was a mob. But they got in and only got 1 dollar for that day and they spent it on food and it wasn't much. The Joads were still hungry. That night, Al went looking for girls and Tom went investigating. Cops drove him away, but Tom sneaks past them. He finds Casy in a tent and he tells Tom want happened to him and that. Then cops and try to get Tom to leave but he wouldnt and he gets hit in the face by a cop. When Tom finds the family, he tells them they should go some were else to work. They do, at picking cotton, but Tom cannot work because he was hurt and do not want to get caught by the people who are there and they will be suspicion.
