grapes of wrath part 7 chapt. 27-30
Chap. 27 says that there are alot of workers picking cotton. They said they're so many workers that some are not able to work and some get money even if they dont work. To make extra money, some migrants put rocks at the bottom of the cotton bags to make extra money. Chap. 28 says that the Joads are given a boxcar to live in and they have to share it. Where were they living before? Now that the Joads have enough money, they buy good clothes and food but when Ma Joad treats them with candy, a girl comes up and says that isn't fair that she got some. The girl picks a fight, but Ruthie says that her was killed by two men. Ma Joad rushes out and tells Tom that the secret has been revealed. Tom stays but Ma Joad says that he should go. Tom says that Casy would tell him to stay and do what is best. Chap. 29 says that its been raining for a long period of time and that their hasn't been any work to do. Men get out of hand and start stealing but they would remain strong. Chap. 30 states that its still raining and Rose of Sharon becomes ill and goes into labor. Pa Joad urges the men to build a makeshift but a tree falls down on the dam and destroys. Rose of Sharon delivers the baby, but does not make it. Uncle John makes a coffin and puts the baby in it, and lets it go down the stream. The water reaches the inside of boxcar, and the Joads leave to seek drier grounds. Al stays behind and the Joads leave. They find a barn, but their is a dying father and a son who is in it. The man hasn't had anything to eat and gave all of his food to his son to eat.

Good Blog, it summarizes the story really good. I did not like the ending because it was pointless and didn't even say what happens to Tom. I am glad this book is done with and hope the next book is decent.
This book was not one of my favorite books, but at the end, it shows the hope that there still is when Rose of Sharon breastfeeds the man who gave all of his food to his son. This shows the strength in humans to help each other and of family.
